My name is Hank (degster, degmeister), I'm 21 years old, and although I've done a fair bit of HTML, I've still got quite a bit to learn about it. I'm from Ohio, born and raised, and sometimes I hate the place overall I enjoy living here, even with the weather. I love music, making art, reading, woodworking, older cars, creating languages, speculative evolution, scifi and fantasy, looking into different religions (which sometimes goes into the occult), history and archeology, and dressing like an old man. I can be quite talkative and sometimes don't know when to shut up, which can be a bit of a curse but oh well. I can be quite nosy, which can also get me into trouble, and overall I am a huge pasty nerd (which makes me wonder how I got engaged lol).
I got into HTML because one I grew up looking at the old Internet being full of wonder and excitement, and because I grew up out in the country with just dial-up these older websites were the only ones that would load, and second, in my opinion, the lack of control of aesthetic and customization on the modern internet is criminal. Everything is different shades of gray with a splash of uninspired color; there's no life to it, and with that it forces you to have to "tow the line," so to speak. The Internet has become an office job, just like almost everything else in our world, which is just depressing. So I created a website to express how I feel, no matter how eyesearing it is. Hell, I try to keep it as custom as possible; the star backgrounds on this page I made myself by hand, along with my website button. It feels lived in that way, but I feel like I'm blabbing too much.
